Celebrate NAIDOC Week 2008 with the Australian High Commission. Red Centre: Red Dot presents works from several leading indigenous community art centres from remote northern and western Australia, to give you an excellent overview of contemporary indigenous art. Presented in partnership with ReDot Gallery.

The Warmun community includes pioneers such as award-wnning artist Rover Thomas, as well as younger artists such as Patrick Mung Mung, Mabel Juli and Shirley Purdie. This is the first time the centre is exhibiting in Singapore. Supported by the Australian High Commission as part of its NAIDOC week celebrations.

The Chinese Women's Association and Singapore Recreation Club present this gala black tie charity dinner featuring the finest young musicians from two of Australia's most respected schools, Hale School and St Mary's Anglican High School in Western Australia. The internationally acclaimed ensemble will entertain you with a concert overture, followed by a performance by some of Singapore's best ballroom dancers. Dance the night away to orchestral waltzes and a selection of jazz, swing and Latin music. This event is a fundraiser for Henderson Senior Citizens Home.

From the traditionally classical ‘Concerto En Blanc’ to the contemporary style of ‘Transformations’, the dynamic performances reveal the brilliance of classical ballet and capture the dancers' unique style, and the vibrant energy, exquisite style and sense of fun that Australian dance is renowned for.

Catch 16 art works developed by 22 international artists after an intensive three-month Artist-in-Residence programme including works by Nigel Helyer, an independent Sydney-based sculptor and sound-artist in the exhibition, ‘Run Silent; Run Deep’ and Jodi Rose, a sound artist, broadcaster and composer, working collaboratively to produce experimental music, radio, public and sonic art events in ‘The Global Bridge Symphony’ exhibition. www.isea2008singapore.org.

25 Jul - 1 Aug: AUSTRALIAN GARDEN DESIGN ON SHOW AT SINGAPORE GARDEN FESTIVAL 2008
Don't miss the first festival in the world to bring together the creations of the top awardwinning international garden and floral designers under one roof. The inaugural festival in 2006 was a resounding success, attracting more than 200,000 visitors.
