The Way Ahead Thru Alumni Connections - AUIAC

The Australian Alumni Singapore is organising the AUIAC 2008 with the theme FUTUROPOLIS: The Way Ahead Thru Alumni Connections. It will be held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10 to 13 June 2008.

Dear Officer-in-Charge, Alumni/ International Relations,

The Australian Alumni Singapore is organising the AUIAC 2008 with the theme

FUTUROPOLIS: The Way Ahead Thru Alumni Connections.

The Convention will be held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10 to 13 June 2008.

The AUIAC 2008 will bring together illustrious alumni of Australian Universities, tertiary and professional institutions, as well as global partners of these alumni, to deliberate on relevant issues impacting the world today.

We are pleased to have our Singapore Governments Senior Leaders gracing the event. They are:


  • President SR Nathan, President of the Republic of Singapore as Guest-of-Honour for the Gala Dinner.

  • Mr Goh Chok Tong, Senior Minister of the Republic of Singapore as Guest-of-Honour for the Welcoming Dinner.

  • The Right Honourable Pehin Sri Dr Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister, Sarawak, Malaysia and

  • Dr Tony Tan, Chairman, National Research Foundation and Chairman, Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore,

will be providing the Welcoming and Opening Addresses, respectively.

In addition, we have invited Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Finance and Minister for Education, Republic of Singapore and Mr S Iswaran, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore to be our key speakers.
